Maarten Smit is a senior portfolio manager quantitative equity at APG Asset Management in Amsterdam. On behalf of Dutch pension funds, APG invests more than EUR 470 billion with the greatest possible care.
Maarten is responsible for developing and enhancing global quantitative equity strategies. His research focusses on alpha modeling and he is the co-portfolio manager for the team’s systematic equity strategies in developed and emerging markets. Previously he worked at ABN AMRO bank.
Maarten has an MSc degree in Engineering from Delft University of Technology and an MSc degree in Econometrics from Erasmus University Rotterdam. He is a CFA charterholder.
